Last technical advice.

- Notes about the author
- Two words to say that, if you bothered about creating a page of your own it is because you have something to say and possibly you wish to meet other people with your same interests. So don't forget to include a page to tell who you are, what you're doing, or, at least give an e-mail address where they may write to you (You think this obvious? That's also my advice, but many a site omits this...)
- The "whirling whistles"
- As Internet is widening the new browsers consent more and more special effects, the ones Martino and I call "whirling whistles".
Playing with this sort of things may be amusing: a personal page is the best opportunity to experiment!
However don't forget that people visiting you might have a slow connection or an old browser. Therefor take care that if someone, for those motives, is loosing your special effects, he doesn't also loose the opportunity to see your pages.
If for instance you intend to employ Macromedia's Flash, avoid to employ it for your site menu: a visitors that doesn't dispose of Flash will loose special effects, but he'll anyhow be able to "surf" on your pages.
This is still more important with DHTML which, incredibly, has different commands for Explorer and Netscape: so in this case you'll risk to loose 40% visitors because of special effects!
